We're Off To Philadelphia!

Obsidian Brass has been advanced to the finals of the Astral Artists National Wind Auditions! Astral Artists is a fantastic organization geared toward advancing the careers of emerging classical musicians by providing incredible opportunities to those musicians it selects to represent. The auditions, to be held on January 5, 2011 at Temple University, will help to determine which artists are to join the Astral Artists roster in 2011. Selection as a finalist is an incredible honor, as only a select few are chosen to advance past the taped audition round.

Our send-off recital will take place on Monday, January 3rd, at 8:30pm in Regenstein Hall's Masterclass Room, located on the Northwestern Campus in Evanston, IL. We've got a great program lined up, including Lutoslawski's Mini Overture, Ewald's Brass Quintet No. 2, Op. 6, Bach/Torreilles' Violin Concerto No. 1 in A Minor, and Plog's Four Sketches. We're looking forward to a great trip and an even better audition!
